Photography Station
For macro imaging, the lab contains a Smith-Victor tabletop shooting table with a Canon EOS Rebel T6i camera mounted on a lever-controlled carriage system. The carriage system is secured to a column constructed of heavy duty extruded aluminum. This column is designed for low-vibrations for sharp imaging and contains a printed height scale. Using the lever, the height of the carriage may be adjusted. The camera is also hooked up to a computer to allow for remote shooting using dedicated software.
For illumination, the stand also contains two adjustable mounting arms holding compact flat panel LED lights. The LED lights have a CRI of 95 to ensure accurate color rendition.
